Virtual activities to keep in touch during the Covid-19 pandemic

2020 March - 2021 April

In the Spring of 2020 we faced the fact that we couldn’t go on with our project according to the plans. Strict restrictions were introduced all over Europe and the schools switched over online teaching. Everybody had to stay at home and became isolated but we wanted to keep our contact alive. We discovered Padlet as a useful tool to implement collaborative exercises and we used this platform in several creative ways.

At first Spain initiated an activity titled ’At Home but not Alone’.

We encouraged the students to write about their daily routines during the quarantine. We hoped that it made the situation easier if they share their experiences in this difficult situation.

Our next activity was an art project.

The students took photos and drew or painted about the hidden beauties of their homeland and shared their products in a virtual exhibition named Draw and stay Home.

At Christmas we created a Xmas wishes padlet platform to send Christmas cards to each other.

As we missed the personal contacts we organized Skype lessons where the students could ask questions to each other and make friends.

Finally our Polish friends created a padlet in April to share information about the different Eastern traditions of the partner countries.
