Project Results

Our main aim was promoting the development of the cultural competencies. We covered several cultural topics, the most important ones were history and national symbols, folk dance and traditional clothes, music, cuisine, art, crafts, games and sport and cultural attractions. The children gained real life experiences on school life as they had the possibility to visit the partner schools and took part in model lessons as well. What is more, they were invited by families to cook together in Spain.

The participants were also introduced in the teaching methods that are used in the different schools and we applied the elements of these tools during the project. We organized training courses and model lessons where the teachers were acquainted with the basics. Our learning outputs and results are reflected in several project products, such as presentations, performances, videos. We edited an online magazine of four volumes. These are: Discover Hungary, Enjoy Spain, Souvenirs from Italy and Immerse in Poland. The magazines contain photos, videos, the students’ reports, recipes and interviews. The pedagogical results are represented in four Power Point presentations about the theory of the methods we used and we put together a Teachers’ Guide which is a collection of lesson plans and practical ideas for other teachers.

We put emphasis on the continuous evaluation of our achievements and asked feedback from the participants. The detailed analysis can be read in our final evaluation report. The results prove that the participants gain new cultural knowledge, they felt that their competencies and skills improved, the teachers got new inspirations for their work and the project had a positive effect on the schools and contributed to a high quality education.
